Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is a National Mission to provide every household access to basic banking facilities. In addition to a basic bank account, the goal is to provide the underserved with access to need based credit, remittance facilities, insurance, and pension services. In addition, account holders receive a RuPay debit card, with inbuilt accident insurance coverage of Rs. 1 lakh.
